Thanks to the support of Michelin Reifenwerke AG & Co. KGaA, the Homburg city administration was able to commission a bus advertisement for the large family and children's festival, which will be celebrated this Sunday in the Homburg city park.
On the bus, which is mainly used in the eastern part of Saarland, there is a large, clearly visible sign on the rear indicating the festival as well as the action mile for the German Youth Fire Brigade Day and its mascot "Fireman Sam". The German Youth Fire Brigade Day is also celebrated in Homburg from Thursday to Sunday and is integrated into the family and children's festival on Saturday.
This morning, councilor Christine Becker, the two organizers of the Family and Children's Festival, Anke Michalsky and Barbara Emser, met with Bernhard Jakob, the head of HR at Michelin, at the UKS bus stop. The bus with the advertisement stopped there for a few minutes, allowing the festival organizers and the Michelin HR manager to take a close look at the advertisement. As in previous years, Michelin is supporting not only the Family and Children's Festival of the city of Homburg but also highlighting on the bus that they have job vacancies available.
Christine Becker, as well as Anke Michalsky and Barbara Emser, warmly thank Michelin for the support and look forward to the upcoming Saturday when the festival for young and old will be celebrated again with many clubs and partners and an extensive program in the city park. "The children's and family festival in Homburg is one of the cultural highlights of the region. After a two-year forced break due to the Corona pandemic, we are very pleased to be able to support the festival again as a partner company of the city of Homburg in the usual way. The participation of our plant fire brigade in the action mile for the German Youth Fire Brigade Day will be a special feature this year. We look forward to an exciting exchange with the visitors and to many more exciting program points of the festival," explained Michelin personnel manager Bernhard Jakob.
