After a 16-year-old youth without a permanent residence in Germany committed numerous crimes within a short period of time, he was brought before the responsible remand judge at the Saarbrücken District Court on August 27, who issued an arrest warrant. He had already been apprehended on July 26 after committing a theft in a Saarbrücken department store using a pepper spray to the detriment of a store detective. On August 18, 2022, he was again caught shoplifting in a department store. On August 25, he stole an e-bike from a garage in Saarbrücken and offered significant resistance during his arrest. In the process, a 22-year-old policewoman and a 32-year-old policeman were slightly injured. He was also in possession of weapons (baton, knife) and narcotics (hashish). He was also proven to be responsible for two car break-ins involving a four-figure sum of money. On August 26, he again committed a commercial theft to the detriment of an electronics store. Finally, investigations are also being conducted against the suspect on suspicion of illegal residence in the Federal Republic.
