Fast internet connections are an important location factor for the future. This applies to industry and business, but equally to private households. "Against this background, we are of course very pleased that Deutsche Glasfaser has significantly exceeded the necessary minimum demand for expansion in all three districts of Quierschied and that comprehensive fiber optic expansion is now being implemented," says Quierschied's mayor Lutz Maurer, "it shows the interest and demand of the citizens for modern technology and infrastructure."
On Tuesday, the company announced that more than 40 percent of the residents in the expansion areas of Quierschied, Fischbach/Camphausen, and Göttelborn had signed a contract with Deutsche Glasfaser. They now intend to begin planning the construction work immediately. The locations of the main distributors will be determined first, after which the respective construction partners will start the civil engineering work. "The municipality places great importance on the reliability of the contracted companies," emphasizes Maurer and expects a smooth implementation from Deutsche Glasfaser. The company will inform all households that have signed a contract about the individual steps in advance.
