207 new confirmed corona cases – Incidence inaccurate today due to holidayThe health department of the regional association reports 207 new corona cases today (as of August 22, 4 p.m.). According to internal calculations, the number of newly reported cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days mathematically increases significantly to 327. However, this is because no numbers were reported to the RKI on Monday last week in Saarland due to the holiday. The report for the long weekend was only submitted on Tuesday. As a result, the current incidence calculation is based on cases from ten days instead of seven days. This will be balanced out again with tomorrow’s report to the RKI.
7-day total of new infections by cities and municipalities In the past ten days, 1,071 people in the regional association have been infected with the coronavirus.
