Deutsche Glasfaser and Deutsche Telekom are active in different areas of the city
The Deutsche Glasfaser corporate group advises all citizens interested in fiber optic expansion from Jägersburg, Kirrberg, Reiskirchen, and Erbach-Nord at their service points and information events. For example, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, an information evening will be offered at 7 p.m. in the community center in Reiskirchen next to the church for the residents of Reiskirchen and Erbach-Nord. The program includes information about the potential network expansion in Reiskirchen and Erbach-Nord, the company Deutsche Glasfaser, and the services available for booking. After the presentation, visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions to the employees present.
In order for the fiber optic expansion in the districts of Jägersburg, Kirrberg, Reiskirchen, and Erbach-Nord to be made possible by Deutsche Glasfaser, at least 33 percent of the households in the planned expansion area must sign a contract with Deutsche Glasfaser by the deadline of September 30, 2022. The currently achieved rate is 16 percent.
The Homburg city administration has concluded cooperation agreements with Deutsche Glasfaser and Deutsche Telekom. Both companies are responsible for different areas of the city in Homburg. Therefore, potential customers currently do not have the option to choose a provider for a new fiber optic connection independently of the residential area.
“In the coming weeks, we will strengthen direct exchanges with the residents of Jägersburg, Kirrberg, Reiskirchen, and Erbach-Nord,” says Roland Kirsch, the responsible project manager. “The Deutsche Glasfaser service points offer a central contact point during the demand aggregation period for all questions regarding the fiber optic project. Our team provides information on fiber optic technology, contract details, and the requirements that must be met for successful expansion.” Alternatively, interested parties can also arrange a consultation appointment in their own homes. During these weeks, sales representatives from Deutsche Glasfaser will go door to door, make contact with residents, and provide information upon request. All employees carry identification and, of course, comply with any requests to show it.
Interested parties can also obtain information about the fiber optic project in these parts of Homburg at Bahnhofstraße 1 in Jägersburg and Ortsstraße 1 in Kirrberg. The Jägersburg service point is open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bahnhofstraße 1 in Jägersburg. The Kirrberg service point is open on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ortsstraße 1 in Kirrberg. Additionally, the team at the service points can be reached by phone at 02861 8133 410.
