On Saturday, September 10, the Biosphere VHS St. Ingbert invites you from 3 to 5 pm to the city tour "My dear homeland nest" - Albert Weisgerber and his birthplace St. Ingbert, led by Dr. Susanne Nimmesgern.

In April 1878, the most famous son of the city of St. Ingbert was born, the painter and graphic artist Albert Weisgerber, who, after his early death, was unjustly forgotten at first. How did his development into a gifted artist between Impressionism and Expressionism unfold, and what was his relationship with his hometown? We begin the tour at his birthplace on Kaiserstraße and walk along important stations of his life and artistic work up to the Old Cemetery, where his parents' tomb is located.

The city tour starts at the restaurant "Times", Kaiserstraße 62.

On Saturday, September 24th, the Biosphere VHS St. Ingbert invites you from 12 to 2 pm to the "Sustainable City Tour" with speakers from the Saarland Development Policy Network.

The city tour offers a conscious look at sustainable shopping opportunities in the city of St. Ingbert. Together, a critical view is taken on globalization issues, resource scarcity, as well as the personal possibilities to lead a more conscious and sustainable life. The city tour raises awareness for sustainable lifestyles, encourages mindful consumption, and inspires enthusiasm for lived, communal alternatives. Depending on the topic, various stops within the city are visited and their contribution to a more sustainable world is reflected upon in open discussions.

The tour starts at the St. Ingbert Town Hall, Am Markt 12, (Market Square entrance).
