On Saturday, September 10, the Biosphere VHS St. Ingbert invites you from 3 to 5 pm to the city tour "My dear homeland nest" - Albert Weisgerber and his birthplace St. Ingbert, led by Dr. Susanne Nimmesgern.
In April 1878, the most famous son of the city of St. Ingbert was born, the painter and graphic artist Albert Weisgerber, who, after his early death, was unjustly forgotten at first. How did his development into a gifted artist between Impressionism and Expressionism unfold, and what was his relationship with his hometown? We begin the tour at his birthplace on Kaiserstraße and walk along important stations of his life and artistic work up to the Old Cemetery, where his parents' tomb is located.
The city tour starts at the restaurant "Times", Kaiserstraße 62.
