What's still missing? Right – blues, because blues fans can also experience their genre at the Sulzbach Music Summer – with the "Bluzmatics".
The Saarland blues band, led by blues harmonica player Gernot "Junior" Scheerer, will perform on August 19th as part of the Culture Summer and will play – who would have thought – blues classics, as well as original compositions by Gernot "Junior" Scheerer.
However, "Junior" is not an unknown figure, as he is known, among other things, as a sideman for Abi Wallenstein, John Kirkbride, and Heiko Shrader, even beyond the borders of the Saarland.
He has also released two CDs with the band “Junior & Bon Ton Roulet” and is considered one of the most experienced blues harmonica players in Saarland.
Together with Dieter "Fisch" on bass, providing the right foundation, Berthold Bach on drums, and Stefan Groß as the blues veteran on the strings, "Junior" alongside Fritz Scheerer, both blowing the blues, form the "Bluzmatics".
All the more reason for all blues fans to look forward to a relaxed evening with plenty of blues on Friday.
