After the enthusiastic start of this year's holiday program with the installation of a "barefoot path" at the Reitbrücke in the Quierschieder Forest, "Caro's Inline Academy" followed up last week: Almost 20 children aged between seven and twelve signed up for the inline skating and skateboard courses on August 2nd and 4th. Within two hours, the children and teenagers learned valuable tips and tricks in a playful and sustainable way that not only enhance safety while riding but also boost self-confidence. Shortly before, about ten nature-interested children participated in the workshop "Bat Nest Box I." Under the guidance and active support of Annette Bost (head of the community library) and Stefan Kees (nature conservation officer in the Quierschied municipal district) – as the name suggests – nest boxes for bats were built.
On Thursday, August 11th, interested individuals can repair toys themselves with the help and guidance of the Reparaturzirkel Quierschied at the Taubenfeldhalle between 3 and 5 PM. No registration is required.
On Friday, August 12th, the Outdoor Pool Day (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) of the JuZ Quierschied will take place with games, fun, and adventure. The meeting point is at 9:30 a.m. at the Quierschied outdoor pool. Just bring the completed and signed registration form, and admission is free!
There are still places available in the bike workshops taking place on August 18th at the Betzental Trail in St. Ingbert!
