As part of a joint ceremony at the DRK local chapter Orscholz, Mayor Daniel Kiefer, together with the deputy local head Marietta Schmitz, honored the most loyal blood donors last Sunday. Donors with 50 or more blood donations received a gift along with a certificate and honorary pin from the local chapter Orscholz of the German Red Cross in person.
Human blood cannot be replaced by anything. Therefore, special recognition is given to all donors. The local branch of Orscholz of the German Red Cross, the municipality of Mettlach with its districts, as well as Mayor Daniel Kiefer together with the local representatives are proud of the great willingness of the citizens to selflessly and voluntarily donate blood for severely injured and sick people and sincerely thank them for it.
"Blood donors actively commit themselves to others with their donation, take time for people in need, and take responsibility in our society. It is very important for us to say thank you," said Mayor Daniel Kiefer to the honored blood donors on Sunday in Orscholz. In addition, the head of the town hall was honored for donating blood 50 times. He also received his certificate of appreciation from the DRK local chapter chairman Jürgen Eilenz.
