The large-scale project Alte Baumwollspinnerei has reached another milestone. Before the summer break, the city council decided on the awarding of the contract for project management. Now, the project manager, tribast Projektmanagement GmbH, has been officially commissioned by the city administration. Tribast Projektmanagement is a company from Saarland based in Homburg. In the past, tribast managed various new clinics and extensions in Saarland as well as the new construction of the Möbel Martin store in Saarbrücken. Currently, the company is overseeing the new construction of the thermal spa and the expansion of the Salinarium in Bad Dürkheim.
Due to the complexity of the large-scale project Alte Baumwollspinnerei and the variety of issues involved, an experienced project manager with extensive expertise was needed. In the coming weeks, the office staff will document the current status – some work has already been carried out by the previous owner – and create a project schedule. The Alte Baumwollspinnerei is intended to serve in the future as the home of the Albert Weisgerber collection and the city administration. In doing so, the character and charm of the industrial old building are to be preserved.
Mayor Dr. Ulli Meyer is pleased about the milestone: "The building has been dormant for years. Our goal is to complete it."
