The textbook lending service remains very popular. According to the School Administration Department of the Saarpfalz district, the participation rate of students for the upcoming school year is currently around 93 percent.
In the upcoming school year 2022/23, in addition to printed textbooks and workbooks, digital book licenses and the necessary mobile devices including accessories can also be borrowed. Students will receive further information about this at school after the summer holidays.
So that students can start the new school year directly with their textbooks, the district administration offers special appointments for their distribution at schools already during the holidays. Parents can comfortably pick up the heavy book packages on these days and clarify any questions on site immediately. For the loan, parents must present their ID card for verification; authorized adults additionally require a power of attorney as well as a copy of the ID card of the legal guardian. Underage students will only receive their textbooks on this day in the presence of a legal guardian.
Anyone who has so far failed to pay the rental fee or present the funding notification should please do so now to ensure the new school year can start successfully with the new books.
Please note!
The district administration points out that the currently valid distancing rules and hygiene measures must be observed in schools.
To avoid traffic congestion, the book packages should not be checked for completeness and condition on site, but only at home or off the school premises. Any complaints can be promptly addressed by phone or email with the responsible school book coordinator.
Students who are unable to attend the mentioned holiday dates with their parents will receive the books during school hours in the first week of school.
