Rohrbach. After a two-year break, the Alt-Rohrbach Festival took place for the 41st time. The local mayor Roland Weber, the festival committee members, as well as the clubs and participants invited everyone from Friday, August 5th to Saturday, August 6th, 2022. This year, there were a few changes. Since many clubs no longer wanted to participate, the village festival had to be scaled down. Nevertheless, the more than 40 participating clubs and caterers offered a unique culinary experience along a 500-meter festival mile. Additionally, a fairground was set up over three days at the funfair area next to the Rohrbach hall.
On Friday, the parade through the festival area began with three ceremonial gunshots. Following the welcoming speeches, the Rohrbach Festival was officially opened with the tapping of the keg by the patron Hubert Pirrong and gun salutes from the shooting clubs Rohrbach and St. Ingbert. The opening was accompanied by the Rohrbach Music Association.
Over 20 hours of varied live music were offered on two stages. For the children, there were plenty of activities at the fairground. In addition to the bumper cars, a shooting gallery, and a children's carousel, there were a number of other play opportunities. Local head Roland Weber was pleased that a great and diverse festival was organized again and that the weather held up over the festival days.
