On the second to last day of school, the time had finally come. 14 children from the third grades of the Hoferkopfschule set off for the 15th Day of School Music "still alive" in the Franco-German Garden.
For an entire school year, the third graders practiced drumming on barrels. In collaboration with the Sulzbach-Fischbachtal Music School, Mr. Scheid led the class project "Trashdrumming" at Hoferkopfschule.
The call to participate in the Day of School Music was gladly accepted by the headmistress, Mrs. Knorst. This allowed the children to present their learned musical piece to the public.
Full of excitement, the children, together with their principal, traveled to Saarbrücken and opened the event around 10 o'clock. The audience rewarded the drum performance with thunderous applause. The day at the DFG was a great experience for all involved. A heartfelt thank you goes to the employees of the city of Friedrichsthal, who transported the large drums to Saarbrücken.
