Meeting point and start of the hike is on Saturday, 06.08.2022, at 1:30 p.m. at the Wildpark-Alm Weiskirchen. First, we pass the wildlife park towards the wisent enclosure. We hike on parts of the Two-Valleys Trail towards Waldhölzbach. However, we do not take the direct descent to the rock path but continue to a small forest pond fed by the Hölzbach stream. From there, we continue in a large arc around Waldhölzbach and later pass the outskirts of Zwalbach on the way back to the wildlife park. Depending on the weather and fitness level, we can adjust the length of the hike.
Josef and the Hochwald Tourism warmly invite you to this special hiking experience. Please wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots, bring good fitness, and remember to bring enough drinks. The hike is approximately 11.3 km – 13.3 km and is considered moderately difficult. Around 400 meters of elevation must be managed both uphill and downhill. The cost of the hike is €3.50.
