On Sunday, 24th July 2022, just in time for the start of the holidays, the first "Kids & Family" summer open-air event kicked off as part of the "Summer in Püttlingen" series. The cultural office of the city of Püttlingen had put together a colorful and above all varied program. From 3 p.m., there was pure entertainment for young and old alike in the park behind the town hall, with the best summer weather.
Mayor Denise Klein: "I am pleased that our popular event series 'Summer in Püttlingen' can take place again this year largely without Corona restrictions and that we were able to organize this new family event. A special thanks goes to Dr.-Ing. Folz Gleitlagertechnik GmbH, which supported this event with a generous donation."
On stage, the ensemble "Hainer – the little shark" embarked on a sea mission. The magician Jakob Mathias took the children on an exciting pirate adventure with his interactive magic theater. Spontaneous support was provided by Herry Weiland, who stepped in at short notice for Philipp Herget and, together with Lukas Schüssler, created a great musical atmosphere for singing along.
There was also much to discover at the volunteer fire department of the city of Püttlingen. In addition to an equipment and vehicle display and an information booth about the work of the youth fire brigade, a hands-on course was also offered, where members of the youth fire brigade could demonstrate practical work to all visitors. The mascot of the youth fire brigade, "Flori Flämmchen," was also not to be missed.
The company Zeltverleih Dörr took care of the catering.
