With sympathy and sorrow, the city of St. Ingbert bids farewell to city councilor Michael Trittelvitz, who passed away on July 11, 2022, at the age of 74.

Michael Trittelvitz had been a member of the St. Ingbert city council since 2014, serving as the faction leader of the UCD – The Independents since 2016. Through his voluntary work and participation in various committees, he committed himself to the welfare of the citizens of St. Ingbert. Throughout his life, he remained faithfully connected to his hometown.

Club life was also close to the heart of the native of St. Ingbert. As chairman of TG 1912 Rohrbach e. V., he had a special connection to fencing. He was also a founding member of the St. Ingbert Sports Association e. V. and was active on the board from the very beginning. Most recently, he held the position of 2nd chairman.

"For many years, Michael Trittelvitz has been voluntarily involved in various committees of the city. He was a recognized city council member across factions and parties who always represented the concerns of the residents of St. Ingbert," said Mayor Dr. Ulli Meyer. "My deepest sympathy goes to his family."
