326 new confirmed COVID cases – incidence below 750The health department of the regional association reports 326 new COVID cases today (as of July 28, 4 p.m.). The number of newly reported cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days thus continues to decrease to 743.5 according to internal calculations.
7-day total of new infections by cities and municipalitiesIn the past seven days, 2,435 people in the regional association have been infected with the coronavirus. Of these, 1,324 live in Saarbrücken, 259 in Völklingen, 145 in Püttlingen, 120 in Sulzbach, 119 in Kleinblittersdorf, 116 in Heusweiler, 113 in Quierschied, 89 in Riegelsberg, 86 in Friedrichsthal, and 64 in Großrosseln.
Corona case numbers since the beginning of the pandemic
In total, there are 122,162 confirmed cases in the regional association that have tested positive since the beginning of the pandemic. Of these, 66,349 are in the state capital and 55,813 in the nine surrounding towns and municipalities. The number of deaths related to the coronavirus stands at 777.
