A photo booth has been installed at the Citizen Service Center (BSC) in the St. Ingbert Town Hall. Here, citizens can have biometric photos taken, which are required for all official identification cards. This booth was installed because there is no longer a facility to obtain passport photos within walking distance of the BSC.
The FotoFix machine is located in the waiting area of the BSC. The user is guided through the photo-taking process via the screen. The photo session costs 10 euros, and the user receives four biometric photos. Taking non-biometric photos is not possible. Payment can be made in cash (the machine does not give change!), with EC card, Visa, or MasterCard. Additionally, payment is possible with Android or Apple smartphones (Google Pay, Apple Pay).
The FotoFix machine was provided free of charge by the provider company Photo-Me, and the payment transactions and service are also handled by the company. The device is equipped with a timer, so it automatically switches on and off with a lead and follow time according to the opening hours of the BSC.
