The Health Department of the Regional Association reports 823 new corona cases today (as of July 11, 4 p.m.). According to internal calculations, the number of newly reported cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days thus rises to 1,089.5.

Due to data cleansing by the health department, the total number of cases for the Saarbrücken regional association has been adjusted. This is reduced by 418 cases over the entire pandemic period due to the deletion of, for example, duplicates and changed main residences.
The health department was notified today of three additional deaths. Between June 16 and 22, two female patients aged 93 and 92, as well as one male patient aged 92, who had previously tested positive for the coronavirus, passed away. The number of deaths related to the coronavirus rises to 762.
7-day total of new infections by cities and municipalitiesIn the past seven days, 3,568 people in the regional association have been infected with the coronavirus. Of these, 1,810 live in Saarbrücken, 472 in Völklingen, 248 in Püttlingen, 186 in Kleinblittersdorf, 166 in Sulzbach, 155 in Quierschied, 154 in Großrosseln, 136 in Heusweiler, 133 in Riegelsberg, and 108 in Friedrichsthal.

In total, the regional association has 114,571 confirmed cases that have tested positive since the beginning of the pandemic. Of these, 62,256 are attributed to the state capital and 52,315 to the nine towns and municipalities in the surrounding area.
