Bat Night Walk
The bat night walk begins just before sunset. It leads over easily accessible paths to the bat habitat at Kohlbachweiher and lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Children, teenagers, and adults can discover the mysterious bats in their natural environment during twilight. With the help of an ultrasound detector, their inaudible sounds for humans are converted into audible sounds.
Tip: Please bring weather-resistant clothing, sturdy shoes, and a flashlight!

Workshop Building Bat Boxes
There are bat species that primarily inhabit tree hollows. These species suffer because more and more old tree stands are being cut down, and many old, hollow-bearing trees as hazardous sites are being removed. The animals therefore find few suitable tree hollows. In addition, birds compete with bats for the limited living space.
In the course, massive bat boxes will be built from kits to serve as a replacement for tree hollows. This can alleviate the housing shortage of the animals to some extent.
The kits are designed in such a way that handling is child-friendly in the truest sense of the word. Special craftsmanship skills are therefore not required. The course is suitable for adults and children aged 6 and over accompanied by an authorized guardian.
The material costs will be kindly covered by Peter Gross Bau Holding.
Participants can take their built quarters with them.
