On June 24, 2022, the senior safety advisors from Merzig, Völklingen, Luxembourg, and Friedrichsthal met at the Friedrichsthal town hall.
Mayor Jung was pleased to warmly welcome the State Secretary of the Interior Thorsten Lang as well as Chief Police Commissioner Markus Müller from the Sulzbach Police Station on the occasion of this cross-border meeting.
The meeting, organized by the members of the Friedrichsthal Senior Security Advisors, served to get to know each other better, exchange experiences, and discuss current issues.
At the meeting, the guests of honor were able to gain an impression of the importance of the work of the senior safety advisors and expressed appreciative words for their voluntary commitment.
The seniors benefit from the consultants' preventive work, as they warn against the increasingly sophisticated tricks of the fraudsters, who also use the latest technology. The officials expressed their support for the continued close cooperation between the consultants, the municipalities, and the police.
Mayor Jung thanked the organizers for arranging the meeting and is confident that the active work of the senior safety advisors in Friedrichsthal and the other locations will continue to be successfully carried out in the future.
