The well-known and popular Becker’s Beer is launching with a new design after the summer. The Karlsberg Brewery exclusively presented the new design to an expert jury, the Becker’s Beer Buwe Rohrbach and Mayor Ulli Meyer, who joined digitally, in Homburg. Marketing Director Andreas Oster and Daniel Steis, National Sales Manager Germany, welcomed the delegation from St. Ingbert.
With the new design, the brewery counters the rumor that the traditional beer brand would disappear from the market. On the contrary: the brand is to be strengthened and become even more popular with the new design. The beer is served on more than 160 taps in the Saarland, and not only in the birthplace of Becker’s beer in St. Ingbert.
The new design apparently features a retro look. The enthusiastic Becker’s beer lover and chairman of the Rohrbacher Becker Bier Buwe, Heiko Stief, comments on the new design: “Redesigned and jazzed up with the essential Becker Bier characteristics—the Becker tower, brewing tradition since 1877, the colors white and yellow, adorned with the Becker’s crest, as well as the advertising slogan ‘preferably Becker’s Bier’—the small Becker’s Stubbi appears fresh and youthful in its 11th year. The Stubbi delights us and our throats with the cult beer.”
Above all, the new white-yellow bottle cap featuring the Beckerturm as the landmark is the highlight and also an eye-catcher in the beer crate.
Heiko Stief adds: "In particular, we are thrilled with the new design and especially the support from Karlsberg and the great marketing of the cult beer Becker's Bier, from Rohrbacher Becker Bier Buwe as sponsors, who brought Becker's Stubbi back to the market in 2012 together with the Karlsberg Brewery and on our initiative."
Mayor Ulli Meyer also thanked the representatives of Karlsberg present for strengthening the traditional brand: “Becker’s beer belongs to St. Ingbert. The former brewery is iconic and also home to many residents of St. Ingbert. I thank Christian Weber and his team for their open ear and for advancing the cult brand Becker’s.” He also thanked the Rohrbach Becker Bier Buwe and Heiko Stief for their relentless commitment to the customs surrounding Becker’s beer.
In addition to Mayor Ulli Meyer, the Member of the Bundestag Esra Limbacher was also among the supporters on site.
Shortly after the first rumors appeared a few weeks ago, the mayor sought a conversation with managing director Christian Weber. It quickly became clear: Karlsberg continues to brew Becker’s beer and wants to expand the brand.
