On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, the Römermuseum Homburg-Schwarzenacker kicks off the school holiday with the holiday special. Every Tuesday until and including August 30, Roman fans big and small can take a break on the picnic meadow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and get active in the children's workshop as well as during the excavation of hidden treasures.
The admission prices of the museum apply, plus three euros each for excavation and crafts. Further information is available online at www.roemermuseum-schwarzenacker.de or by phone at 06848/730777.
The idea for this concept was developed during the pandemic and is intended to continue this summer: "Our goal in recent years has been to create a diverse range of activities despite numerous restrictions and to offer children a somewhat 'normal' holiday experience. Our new concepts have been very well received; we have received many positive responses from parents and children over the past two years. Therefore, we want to offer the combination of a cozy picnic and various craft and excavation activities again this time. A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who contributes to the success of the holiday programs," said Philipp Scheidweiler, Managing Director of the Römermuseum Foundation, and Simone Abel, Head of Museum Education.
Additionally, Ingrid Dömötörova and Martin Schwindling, who have brought the museum café back to life after a two-year closure, invite you to their beer garden and the "Coffee Mile" as part of the holiday offer.
