In recent days, the municipal administration has received an increasing number of reports about the dumping of green waste and similar materials in the forest and on green spaces. This disposal is illegal and harms nature; moreover, it constitutes an administrative offense that can be punished with a substantial fine. Ultimately, the disposal of illegal garden waste is costly for all taxpayers.
The ban on disposing of green waste in the open countryside has good reasons. Garden waste increasingly introduces nutrients into forests and green areas, disrupting the delicate balance of the harmonized communities of life. Where grass and green waste accumulate, nitrogen-loving plants such as blackberry bushes and nettles multiply, displacing site-specific and demanding plants. Additionally, the decomposed waste can contaminate soil and groundwater.
Branches from shrub and tree prunings can transmit fungal diseases, and the roots, bulbs, tubers, and seeds contained in garden waste can lead to the spread of non-native, alien plants in forests or open landscapes. Native wild plants, as well as the animal species dependent on them, are displaced, which can contribute to an undesirable change in biodiversity.
Proper disposal is therefore mandatory for everyone. According to the Circular Economy Act, garden waste such as lawn and hedge clippings, leaves, weeds, dead plants, and other garden waste must be composted in the garden or disposed of via the organic waste bin.
In addition, the green waste collection point in Auersmacher is available for a fee to all residents and property owners of the municipality of Kleinblittersdorf.
The green waste collection point in Auersmacher (access below the new cemetery on Kapellenstraße) is open on Fridays from 12 to 17 o'clock and Saturdays from 10 to 16 o'clock. The disposal of green waste is subject to a fee, and since this year, it is no longer possible to pay in cash at the green waste collection point!
Please obtain an annual pass or value tokens at the town hall before disposal. To do this, transfer the fee of €30.00 for an annual pass or the corresponding amount for value tokens (minimum purchase of 10 pieces at €1.00 each) to one of the following accounts of the municipal treasury, stating the purpose of use: "Green waste card 2022 or value tokens, 50010535," as well as the name, first name, and address of the purchaser:
With the annual pass, you can drop off green waste at the green waste collection point as often as you like. Value tokens entitle you to a one-time green waste drop-off. Unused value tokens can, however, also be used for green waste disposal in the following years.
The prices for green waste disposal have not changed and are as follows: small quantities up to 100 l = €1.00; passenger cars = €4.00; trailers up to 1 m³ = €6.00; other vehicles/containers = €8.00/m³
Five days after the transfer, you can pick up the annual pass or value tokens at the town hall reception upon presentation of the transfer slip. If you have further questions, the staff of the building department of the municipality of Kleinblittersdorf will be happy to assist you (Tel: 20 08-403 or -703).
At the green waste collection point in Auersmacher, compost soil is distributed free of charge to all residents of the Kleinblittersdorf municipality (no distribution for commercial use). It is only given out in household quantities and while supplies last. However, loading of brought containers or trailers must be done by the users themselves.
The finished compost is regularly inspected by the Federal Compost Quality Association (BGK e.V.) according to EVS standards and carries the RAL quality mark for compost. Due to its outstanding properties, the green waste compost can be used as both a soil improver and fertilizer in any garden or vegetable bed. This way, important nutrients are returned to the natural cycle – locally and with short transport routes.
