In the cemeteries in the Freisen districts of Haupersweiler and Grügelborn, a theft occurred in each location during the same period starting from June 30, 2022. In both cases, unknown perpetrators stole a bronze figure. While one figure was simply taken, the other was forcibly broken off from the respective tombstone and stolen. Besides the criminality, it is especially the lack of respect for the dead, which accompanies such an act, that is repeatedly shocking.
