On the afternoon of July 4th, 2022, the St. Ingbert police station was informed about a missing 34-year-old from St. Ingbert-Rohrbach. The young man had already left his home on July 3rd, 2022, around 1:00 PM to go for a walk, but had not returned for unknown reasons.
During the course of the investigation, evidence increasingly suggested that the man might have gone swimming at the nearby Glashütter Weiher. His clothing and wallet were found there. Extensive search measures were initiated by the police and other rescue personnel.
Police divers were tragically only able to find the man lifeless in the mentioned pond around 9:10 PM. The body was recovered. According to the current state of knowledge, it is assumed to be a swimming accident without third-party involvement.
