Music, culture, culinary delights, and family fun
The Saarbrücken "Kultstadtfest" from Friday to Sunday, July 15 to 17, offers even more stages, even more programs, and even more culture. In addition to Michael Schulte, Max Mutzke, actor Ben Becker, and the pop-rock band MIA from Berlin are among the national top acts who will perform on the stages of Saarbrücken city center.
During the "Kultstadtfest," Faßstraße and the street "Am Stadtgraben" transform into a promenade. Visitors can expect a market for art, design, and knick-knacks offering goods from all over the world. From Friday to Sunday, the German and French singer-songwriter scenes meet for the SR 2 RendezVous Chanson with Gerd Heger in the courtyard of the Stadtgalerie.
Another special feature of the festival is new stages and venues. For the first time, the area beyond the Old Bridge will also be used. Visitors can look forward to offerings from the Historical Museum Saar, the Modern Gallery, and the SR2 stage at Schlossplatz, among others.
On the children's meadow below the State Theatre, there is a varied family program on Saturdays and Sundays. Below the Saar Music University, Café Exodus offers young bands the opportunity to perform their songs in front of a large audience. 2. Chance Saarland e.V. is represented on Türkenstraße. Regional and national bands will perform there.
The "Kultstadtfest" is held in collaboration with many partners and supported by numerous sponsors.
