The state capital Saarbrücken provides information in the free summer holiday calendar "Kinderkakadu" about what children can do during the summer holidays in Saarbrücken.
The "Kinderkakadu" is now available at the town hall information desk, the cultural info at St. Johanner Markt, the city library, and the KidS department. Additionally, interested parties can download a version from the internet at www.saarbruecken.de/kids.
With the support of numerous institutions and clubs, the KidS department has compiled around 250 events in and around Saarbrücken. Whether adventures in the jungle at the city gates, beaver walks, or artistic activities: the city and its surroundings offer many opportunities for experiences.
Sports, Cultural Workshops, and Science Courses
In the "Kinderkakadu," there are many sports activities for children and teenagers, such as modern dance, inline skating and skateboarding training, or riding courses. New this year are free yoga and cross-fit classes in a fitness studio. The cultural office is once again offering the popular art studios in the Franco-German Garden. In addition, there are readings for children, PC and internet courses, music and theater workshops, science and technology courses, as well as multicultural encounters.
Interested parties are advised to check in good time with the respective organizers whether there are still places available for the respective event and whether participation requirements apply. For this purpose, each entry in the "Kinderkakadu" is provided with contact details.
The state capital publishes the brochure in collaboration with COD Büroservice GmbH. Many clubs, associations, and institutions contributed to the program design.
