After a two-year break, the time has finally come again on Friday, June 24: SR Fernsehen is coming on site and will broadcast live for almost two hours from the Marktplatz Sitterswald. At 6:15 pm, Celina Fries and Michael Friemel will present the show “SR Fernsehen vor Ort – Wir in Kleinblittersdorf,” and immediately afterwards, Julia Lehmann and Sonja Marx will host the “aktuelle bericht” live from Sitterswald.
SR Fernsehen on site starts as early as 4:00 p.m. with rehearsals for the show program and a varied stage program, hosted by Roman Bonnaire. Meanwhile, clubs from Kleinblittersdorf take care of the culinary delights: the fire department grills, the local heritage and traffic association offers drinks, and the AWO, together with the Catholic women's community, provides visitors with coffee and cake. The youth club Sitterswald mixes non-alcoholic cocktails and organizes games for children and young people.
Not only the young audience is likely to be delighted by the Saarlodris: Two life-sized SR figures are roaming the event area and are available for photos. There will certainly be funny snapshots at the Saarlodris photo wall – either on your own smartphone or in the classic way printed on photo paper as a souvenir. At the biosphere stand, NABU, Bliesgau Obst, and Naturwacht provide information about the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve, which offers habitats for rare animal and plant species with its beautiful orchard meadows and nutrient-poor grasslands.
SR Fernsehen on site is once again dedicated to a good cause. At the booth of Herzenssache, the children’s aid campaign by SR, SWR, and Sparda-Bank, which has its new walking-act mascot in Sitterswald, star chef Cliff Hämmerle bakes and serves homemade waffles according to a recipe from the new season of the successful SR cooking show “Mit Herz am Herd.” There are prizes to be won at the tin can knockdown game – not only for the audience but also for the Herzenssache Ukraine relief project, which aims to help refugee children and young people from Ukraine settle in Germany. All donations collected on this day will benefit Herzenssache, and the Kleblittersdorf clubs will also donate their proceeds.
In the live show broadcast at 6:15 PM, two teams from Kleinblittersdorf and the SR compete for cash prizes for the charity Herzenssache. The hosting duo Celina Fries and Michael Friemel put their contestants to the test with the Foto-Saarlandquiz, question rounds, and brightly colored skill games, presenting an entertaining and diverse program: The Sitterswalder band Texas Krows plays rock sounds; the wind orchestra Saar Wind Orchestra from Rilchingen-Hanweiler performs pieces from their repertoire; and the German pop singer Philipp Leon presents songs from his new album. The Junge Bühne Auersmacher showcases a small excerpt from their repertoire, which has included the Auersmacher Passion Plays for many years. Of course, magician Kalibo is also a must-see live on SR television.
Starting at 7:20 p.m., the "aktuelle Bericht" will broadcast live from Sitterswald and report on the host community of Kleinblittersdorf. Julia Lehmann and Sonja Marx will take a look at the unique features of the Kleinblittersdorf districts. Other topics of the program include the community's appeal to young families, flood protection, club life, and the biosphere. The two hosts will conduct interviews with local conversation partners. They are also interested in the proximity to France, which shapes life here like in few other places in Saarland. Naturally, there will be an overview of the most important news of the day.
Presenter Thomas Braml focuses primarily on football in the sports section of the "aktueller bericht" – after all, SR Fernsehen is visiting the home of SV Auersmacher and German national player Jonas Hector this time. The weather forecast for the Saarland and its neighboring areas will not come from the SR studio that day, but will be presented live from Sitterswald by Michael Friemel.
A full program that doesn’t end with the “aktueller bericht”: Around 8:15 p.m., music continues on the main stage at the Sitterswald marketplace.
