Saarbrücken. Against the decision announced today at noon (22.06.2022) by the FORD corporate management in Saarlouis regarding the future of the Saarland branch, the workforce of the automobile manufacturer in Saarlouis demonstrated. The Saarland police ensured a safe course of the demonstration with around 100 officers and kept traffic disruptions to a minimum.
Around 2:15 PM, the approximately 2,500 participants set off at the factory gate and marched along Henry-Ford-Straße to the subsequent closing rally at the Dillingen-Süd junction of the BAB 8 motorway. The rally there ended around 5 PM.
Also due to the cooperative and peaceful behavior of the demonstrators, the police operation proceeded without any problems. There were no significant traffic disruptions.
