Until a few days ago, hardly anyone would have known what to make of the name Sen2. Of course, the insiders did, because the native Puerto Rican, Sandro Figueroa Garcia, artistically known as Sen2 Figueroa, has been firmly established in the art scene for over 20 years.
A joint project with RESO from the Kvest Gallery brought him to St. Ingbert. The exhibition "DOS LINEAS" - Duo Show SEN2 & RESO can be seen until mid-August at the Kvest Gallery in the historic Beckerturm in St. Ingbert. Sen2 blurs the boundaries between graffiti and fine art in his works. His beautiful chaos of modern and contemporary interpretations has a distinctive style admired equally by collectors and art lovers. His passion for contemporary, pop, and urban art is evident in every piece. Since 2001, his artworks have been showcased around the globe and exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in America, Canada, and across Europe.

He is relaxed and easygoing in conversation with Mayor Ulli Meyer. With his paint-stained fingers and unmistakable shorts, he almost looks like a young graffiti artist. And all of this makes him very likeable. The passion for his work is almost tangible as he talks about his journey from a rough neighborhood in Puerto Rico to the streets of New York City. It was here that he began to cultivate his love for urban art by creating graffiti murals and commercial works, but his vision was broader. In addition to references to fine art and pop culture, all of Sen2's works feature graffiti elements that reflect his artistic roots as well as his sophisticated and ever-evolving style. Just recently, he completed the second largest mural in the USA in New York.
"I´m very happy to be here," the artist emphasizes explicitly in his conversation with Mayor Dr. Ulli Meyer. The background of his visit to the town hall is also the agreement that Sen2, together with RESO from the Kvest Gallery, will artistically design concrete steles in the Gustav-Clauss-Anlage. The project is planned for late summer. "I would also like to help shape the art lessons in a school class during my next visit to St. Ingbert," he offers with a smile. "I really enjoy working with children and always realize that there are no language barriers when painting."

He considers the entry into the Golden Book of the city of St. Ingbert a great honor and expresses his sincere thanks. "The honor is entirely on our side," Ulli Meyer replies with a smile, "after all, we don't get visits from famous artists from New York every day." Also present were Patrick Jungfleisch (RESO) and Christian Kirsch, the two gallery owners of the Kvest Gallery in the historic Beckerturm in St. Ingbert.
