Last night at around 1:20 AM, a burglary occurred at a supermarket on Spieser Landstraße in St. Ingbert. Two unknown perpetrators (male and female) forcibly broke open the store's entrance door by using shopping carts chained together to destroy it. Afterwards, the perpetrators entered the premises, broke open several cabinets, and stole tobacco products worth approximately 5,000 euros. The perpetrators were observed by a witness during the act, who then notified the police. However, they managed to flee on foot shortly before the police arrived and could not be apprehended despite search efforts.
