On 09.06.2022, around 3:48 PM, the St. Wendel police station was informed about a driver on the country road between Werschweiler and St. Wendel who was reportedly driving her car in an unsafe manner. The woman was stopped and checked by the police. It turned out that she was significantly intoxicated. According to a witness, the woman had driven the vehicle from Niederkirchen along the B 420 towards Werschweiler and further along the country road towards St. Wendel. In the area of the B 420 / turnoff to Werschweiler, the woman entered the oncoming traffic, endangering approaching drivers who had to brake sharply and honk their horns. Furthermore, during the turning maneuver from the B 420 onto the country road towards St. Wendel, a near-accident occurred with stationary traffic participants who wanted to enter the B 420.
