On Wednesday, 15.06.2022, around 1:30 p.m., a traffic accident occurred at the railway underpass on Lothringer Straße in Merzig, where the accident causer, presumably a tractor with a trailer, exceeded the maximum clearance height of the underpass. As a result, the trailer, which was loaded with straw, apparently grazed the underside of the underpass. Property damage occurred to the underpass, and the fallen straw was removed from the roadway. Anyone who can provide information about the cause of the accident or the accident causer, or about the possibly involved tractor, is asked to contact the Merzig Police Station at Tel. 06861/7040.
