On June 15, 2022, at approximately 12:51 PM, the St. Ingbert Police Station was informed of smoke development beside the BAB 6 near the St. Ingbert-West exit in a forested area.
Subsequently, a burning forest area of approximately 100 sqm was detected in the "Auf Mühlental" forest area, which, according to the fire brigade already on site, was fully ablaze. This area was extinguished by the fire brigade, thus preventing further spread, including to the nearby forest.
An investigation is now underway against the unknown perpetrator for causing a fire hazard. Only the ground of the aforementioned area and the adjacent shrubbery were damaged.
