Traffic accident with injured person

In the early morning of June 15, 2022, a traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred between the Saarbrücken Ludwigskreisel and the Westspangenbrücke. A 23-year-old driver of a small car from Merchweiler initially collided with a Dutch truck that was positioned slightly to the left beside her in the lane heading towards Westspange. Due to the collision, the driver lost control of her vehicle, crossed into oncoming traffic, and collided there with the pickup truck of a 54-year-old man from Saarbrücken. The woman was slightly injured and taken to a Saarbrücken clinic for further treatment. Investigations into the exact cause of the accident are ongoing.
