The VHS branch Rohrbach/Hassel offers the "Meeting with the Friend Horse" for children aged 6 to 14. On Saturday, June 25, children can get to know the "Friend Horse" from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the adventure area in Hassel, Am Füllenbusch 1. The goal is to take away the children's initial fear of the animal. One supervisor is available for every five children. Program highlights include riding with a girth, stopping, voice commands, and gymnastics on the horse. Another date is planned for July 9. Fee: 15 euros.
Furthermore, there is an offer to get to know the local forest. Forester Michael Weber will lead a tour through the forest on Saturday, July 9, starting at 3 p.m., showcasing what our local forests have to offer: forest classrooms, forest management, wood utilization, quality of forest paths, and the impact of climate change on the forest are just a few topics. The free excursion is suitable for both children and adults. Meeting point is the dog training ground in the Au, Oststraße.
