At the end of May, there was a fraud case in Nohfelden involving a 70-year-old woman. Two men offered the woman roof work at her property for 200 euros. After small jobs were carried out, the men suddenly demanded 5000 euros. When the woman refused, they put her under massive pressure and even wanted jewelry as compensation. The frightened woman eventually paid a higher amount than initially agreed in order to be left alone. In this context, the police once again warn against engaging in doorstep deals with unknown craftsmen. In case of doubt, the police should be informed.
