The popular choir festival "grenzenlos" will not take place this year. In the run-up to the organizational planning, numerous choirs informed the city's cultural office that due to the long pandemic-related hiatus, they are no longer able to sing and that their current musical level does not meet their standards. For this reason, the organizers do not see the necessary conditions for the musical format as given. However, the choir festival is planned to be staged again next year in 2023 – after a year of choir training – on June 18, 2023, the nationwide "Day of Music".
