On Whit Monday, there was a very high volume of visitors and traffic at Lake Bostal due to the SR3 Children's Festival and the Hanomag meeting. When the nearest parking lot to the events was full, vehicles were simply parked along the entire bike path between Neunkirchen Nahe and Bosen. More distant parking lots still had sufficient capacity and remained unused. Passage for cyclists and pedestrians was no longer possible. Parking on the sidewalk/bike path is fined with 55 euros. The Nordsaarland police station was on site and accordingly initiated numerous administrative offence proceedings.
