On the evening of Pentecost Sunday, a 51-year-old was riding his pedelec down the sloping Birkenfelder Straße in Wadern towards Franz-Haas-Straße. At the nearby roundabout, he presumably fell due to inappropriate speed. Despite wearing a bicycle helmet, he sustained abrasions to his face, among other injuries. As a precaution, he was taken to a hospital for further treatment by ambulance.
