On Saturday, 04.06.22, at around 12:30 PM, officers from the Saarlouis police were called to a traffic accident in the parking lot of a supermarket in Wadgassen Schaffhausen. The officers found the significantly intoxicated driver of the accident in the driver's seat. The 42-year-old driver, who did not have a driver's license, had previously unlawfully borrowed his employer's vehicle and, due to a misoperation of the automatic transmission, collided with another car in the parking lot. Both vehicles sustained property damage. Fortunately, no one was injured.
A blood sample was taken from the responsible driver from Beckingen, and he faces multiple criminal charges.
