In the summer two years ago, two license plates were stolen in Britten and the helmet compartment of a motorcycle was also broken into in order to steal the helmet inside. However, these offenses were not reported by the victim at that time. On 19.04.2022, officers of the Nordsaarland Police Inspection secured, among other things, license plates during a residential search in Britten, see local press release from 20.04.2022, 03:54 a.m. The ongoing investigations now provide strong suspicion against a currently imprisoned 37-year-old man of having committed these two license plate thefts and the break-in on the motorcycle.
