On Tuesday afternoon, a traffic accident occurred on Birkenfelder Straße (B41) in Namborn-Hirstein, resulting in approximately a one-hour closure of the road in both directions for police accident investigation and recovery of the involved vehicles. For unknown reasons, a 36-year-old driver from St. Wendel, who was driving on Birkenfelder Straße in the direction of St. Wendel, entered the oncoming traffic lane in a slight right curve and collided with the oncoming car of a 31-year-old woman from Namborn. Both drivers were injured in the accident. An investigation for negligent bodily harm was initiated against the driver responsible for the accident.
