Yesterday morning (31.05.2022), the traffic police conducted checks on various types of motor vehicles at the train station forecourt in Saarbrücken-Burbach as part of an internal training event "Technical changes to vehicles". During this, they discovered a variety of traffic violations.
In total, the officers checked around 40 vehicles. In addition to cars and motorcycles, an e-scooter was also subjected to an inspection. Since there was suspicion that the driver was under the influence of narcotics, a doctor took a blood sample from the man. A blood sample also had to be taken from the driver of a moped, as there was suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs in this case as well. The driver of another moped, on the other hand, was driving without a license.
In addition, the traffic police identified 13 cars with technical modifications. Seven of them were modified to such an extent that their operating permits had expired. The vehicle owners can now expect a fine ranging from 90 to 300 euros.
Three additional motor vehicles were not insured. The drivers were prohibited from continuing their journey.
