The new election had become necessary after the previous chairman, Heinz Schöndorf, had relinquished his office for health reasons at the preceding meeting. Heinz Schöndorf had held this position for over 10 years. In addition to many intensive consultation talks, he had also successfully organized senior trips and developed various offers for senior fitness. Fortunately, he wishes to continue to support the senior advisory board as a "regular member" with his experience.
The new chairman Dieter Dawo, who was elected by the assembly as the sole candidate and without opposition, intends to work towards resuming the senior fitness programs that came to a halt during the Corona period and establishing senior internet courses in individual districts. (gf)
