For more than four decades, the Ingobertus Festival has been one of the cultural and social highlights in St. Ingbert. On both summer days, many thousands of visitors enjoy everything that the heart desires in hospitality, cuisine, and good entertainment outdoors in the city center.
The cultural department is working at full speed to organize the festival with its usual vigor yet with a fresh breeze. There are some new developments to report: Visitors will no longer find booths in Rickertstraße; instead, the core area of the festival is being strengthened. Kaiserstraße will feature the traditional booths of the St. Ingbert clubs and restaurateurs, along with new offerings such as African cuisine, a vegan food truck, and Irish draft beers. In Ludwigstraße, the now strongly represented restaurateurs, alongside other booths, will offer a wide range and ensure culinary delights. Maxplatz and the Bermuda Triangle remain indispensable and lively parts of the festival, as in previous years. "Even though times are difficult, this year's number of participants is comparable to previous years and is something to be proud of," is the proud conclusion from the cultural department.
The stage program offers a variety of styles ranging from classic rock and sixties to party cover hits. The Stadtwerke stage will be moved from Engelbertskirche to the Wollbach parking lot, creating a prominent stage area for all music lovers. For this, DJK SG St. Ingbert e.V. will leave their usual spot and enrich the area around the new stage with their booth. Visitors will also find the popular "Wine Street" of the partner cities St. Herblain, Radebeul, and Rhodt unter Rietburg there again. This way, this festival area will also shine in a new light.
The rock stage of the Rockförderverein St. Ingbert e.V. will find a strong dedicated area on the newly integrated Schmelzer parking lot within the festival grounds, which is perfectly complemented by none other than the booth of the IGB-Treffen St. Ingbert e.V.
All in all, a well-rounded event that invites everyone in the entire festival area to celebrate extensively.
On Saturdays, from 2 to 6 pm, the new parking lot in Pfarrgasse will be transformed into a play and adventure paradise for children – with a bouncy castle, craft station, and much more.
