Between the evening of Saturday, May 28, 2022, 8:44 PM and the morning of Monday, May 30, 2022, 2:20 AM, a total of 15 large packages of Edam cheese with a total weight of 230 kg were stolen from a truck parked at the Sötern rest area on the A1 (direction Kaiserslautern). The unknown perpetrator(s) first removed the plastic seal attached to the trailer for quality assurance, opened the unlocked cargo compartment door, and then took the cheese packages. It is currently unknown how the stolen goods were removed from the Sötern rest area. Any information about the crime should be reported to the Nordsaarland police. (Tel.: 06871/90010)
