On 26.05.2022, at around 1:00 a.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident occurred on Hobelsstraße in St. Ingbert. The unknown driver was traveling in his red Ford Fiesta on Hobelsstraße towards Bert-Brecht-Straße when, for unclear reasons, he collided with the 1-series BMW of the 24-year-old victim, which was parked on the right side of the road. The driver then fled the scene, leaving his no longer drivable car in the middle of Hobelsstraße. The total damage amounts to the lower five-figure range. Both vehicles had to be removed from the location by towing services.
