Last weekend, from Saturday, May 21, 2022, to Sunday, May 22, 2022, a total of 12 manhole covers/drain grates were removed by unknown perpetrators in St. Wendel, on St. Annenstraße and Eisenbahnstraße. These were then placed on the sidewalk or in the surface water drainage channel. Since this is not just a "minor offense" and fortunately no traffic accident occurred, the St. Wendel Police Department has initiated an investigation for "dangerous interference with road traffic." The St. Wendel Police Department requests any relevant information from possible witnesses.
